Code of practice for onshore petroleum wells
The Code of Practice for the Construction, Operation and Decommissioning of Petroleum Wells in Victoria contains standards, rules and specifications to provide authority holders with practical guidance about designing and carrying out petroleum operations on wells.
Its intention is to inform industry about minimising and managing risks associated with onshore petroleum wells during all stages of the petroleum well lifecycle.
The code was made in accordance with section 250 of the Petroleum Act 1998. It is to be read in conjunction with the Act and Petroleum Regulations 2021.
