Earth Resources Regulation continually updates and improves self-reporting to achieve transparency with industry and meet community expectations about environment performance, disclosure and transparency in the resources sector.

The dashboards display up-to-date information about licensing and work plan assessments under the Mineral Resources (Sustainable Development) Act 1990. Various filters and viewing modes enable users to interact with each dashboard to find and interrogate the information they’re after.

Provides a snapshot of work plans at various stages of the assessment process.

Work plan stages assessment

Shows the volume and type of work plans and work plan variations stage assessments by specified periods and within or out of statutory timeframes.

How often are they updated?

The dashboards are refreshed four times daily: at 8am, 12pm, 4pm and 6pm.

These reports give the public, industry investors and existing resource operators a sector-wide snapshot of earth resources activity and performance. They combine information from the petroleum, geothermal, minerals and extractive industries.

The Departmental Performance Measures report assesses the department's performance against the Victorian Government's Budget Paper measures and includes those assigned to the Resources Division.

What information is included?

  • Percentage of exploration and mining licences which are not active
  • Percentage of exploration licence applications, mining industry work plans and mining licence applications processed within regulatory timeframes
  • Percentage of regulatory audits completed within agreed timeframe

The Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF).

How often is it updated?

Twice a year.
