Imported materials management guidelines

This guideline provides practical guidance to mine and quarry operators for managing materials imported into sites for rehabilitation and/or materials recycling. The guideline lists the permissible uses of materials, respective regulators and management requirements.

This guideline can be used by:

• quarry operators who hold a current work authority and import or may import materials for use or development to a location within the work authority
• mine operators that hold a current mining licence and import materials from offsite.
