Current mines and mineral exploration projects
The Geological Survey of Victoria regularly publishes a detailed map that shows mineral resource activity across the state.
The map brings together information about where mines are currently operating, where exploration is happening and where certain minerals have been found. It also includes a large scale geological map (scale: 1:1,000,000) laid over Victoria’s digital terrain model.
Together, this creates a reliable, statewide picture of Victoria’s geology and the projects taking place. The map also helps explorers and industry professionals spot promising areas for future exploration.
