Advertising Requirements: Guideline for Licence Applications

Guideline for Minerals Exploration, Prospecting, Retention and Mining Licence Applications

The guideline provides information on how to advertise new minerals exploration, prospecting, retention and mining licence applications.

There is also a new alternate method for advertising a licence application in areas where a local newspaper is not circulating.  The alternate method includes requirements for erecting roadside sign(s) with details of the application or notifying affected landowners and occupiers.

All applicants are now required to provide information to Earth Resources Regulation to enable details of the applications to be published on the Earth Resources website.

Guidance is also provided on newspaper advertisements and advertising applications on local radio, through councils and on social media.
