During the mining and investment forum, we will provide updated information about the state’s geology and the services provided to help unlock development opportunities throughout the state.
Victoria’s gold exploration and mining renaissance in recent years has set the scene for the expansion of critical minerals development.
Victoria has substantial critical minerals deposits including titanium, zirconium and rare earth elements. It is also Australia’s only producer of antimony. Other opportunities across the state include copper, antimony, high purity alumina and silica.
The state’s critical minerals potential means it can be a leader in the renewable energy supply chain. Magnets in wind turbines, rechargeable batteries and the copper wires right to our doors are just some of the ways minerals and the metals they make are crucial to renewable energy generation.
