The geology chat will be rocking next week at the Goods Shed in Ballarat with the annual Australian Institute of Geoscientists’ (AIG) Victorian Minerals Round-up event taking place.

Resources Victoria is proud to be the Geoscience Partner at this year’s event being held on 27-28 June. Critical minerals will be a key topic of discussion with several presentations focussing on Victoria’s emerging opportunities.

Victoria has proven deposits that contain resources of antimony, titanium, zirconium and rare earth elements. There are also opportunities across the state for other minerals and precious metals including gold, copper, high-purity alumina and high-purity silica.

Resources Victoria’s geoscientists will present on study updates for Characterising Victoria’s Antimony-Gold Deposits and Rare Earth Elements in Alkaline Rocks of Victoria. They will also be providing mineral exploration reporting tips and advice on using the state’s Drill Core Library.

There will be many more presentations from a range of organisations including Geoscience Australia, universities and many of the active mineral explorers working in Victoria.

The AIG is the leading professional institute representing geoscientists. The event partnership will connect Resources Victoria to key players in the minerals sector and exploration teams across the state.
