Update regarding licensing conditions for Gippsland Critical Minerals

Resources Victoria’s regulator has published statements of reasons relating to its decisions to renew two Retention Licences (RL2026 and RL2023) and an Exploration Licence (EL5395) held for the Fingerboards Mineral Sands Project.

Resources Victoria’s regulator has published statements of reasons relating to its decisions to renew two Retention Licences (RL2026 and RL2023) and an Exploration Licence (EL5395) held for the Fingerboards Mineral Sands Project.

The Exploration Licence has since expired and the Earth Resources Regulator has placed an exemption over the area, meaning that new mineral licence applications can no longer be made.

Victoria’s minerals legislation outlines the conditions that must be met when approving an application to renew a licence. The statements explain how the regulator made its decision and its rationale in placing additional conditions on Gippsland Critical Minerals as part of the renewal.
