Locality of the land to which the application relates: Approx. 3km west of Percydale and 9km west of Avoca

Approximate area of the application: 4.6Ha

Date of the application: 16 January 2026

Term the licences are applied for: 10 years

Outline of the proposed programs of work: The Fiddlers Creek underground gold mine is currently in production under existing prospecting licence approvals.  The new mining licence will allow production and development of the mine to continue including decline advancement, ore development and stoping operations, diamond drilling to update the block model and assess future expansion feasibility. The ore will be processed offsite at a mill facility at Wedderburn.

Any person may object or comment to a licence being granted. (Section 24 and 24A, Mineral Resources (Sustainable Development) Act 1990).

A person who objects or comments must:

  1. putting the objection or comment in writing; and
  2. including the grounds on which it is made

All objections or comments must be lodged within 21 days after the latest date on which the application was advertised and can be lodged online or posted to:

6. Other information

  1. Subject to other statutory requirements being satisfied, a mining licence, if granted, entitles the holder of the licence to carry out mining on the relevant land, explore for minerals, construct any facilities specified in the licence and do anything else that is incidental to that mining.
